Have You Ever Been Up North? is the title of Frida Hansen´s first ever solo show organized together with Sorgenfri Oslo, becoming a benchmark for showing her works to the public for the first time.

The comes from a tapestry present in the exhibition. Its text elaborates on the conflicting emotions of living in the north, a context where one’s life is dictated by extreme and shifting seasons.

In close conversation to her architectural background, the motifs deals with scenarios capturing everyday life, with a focus on the mundane objects that surrounds us. They are the silent observers of our movements and can tell stories or keep memories in a matter-of-fact way.
